Overview
Municipal Beach is located in the Grantham Ward, along the shore of Lake Ontario. This park has 365 metres (1,200 feet) of sandy beach to enjoy. Children can play safely in the playground area. There are picnic areas with barbecues for visitors. The park can be accessed by car and there is a large parking area. For those walking or cycling to the park, it is located on the Waterfront Trail and is in close proximity to the Welland Canals Parkway Trail. This park contains a boat launch ramp and washroom facilities. This beach is unsupervised.
Boat Launching
A free public boat launching ramp is available to all citizens at Municipal Beach for small and personal watercrafts during the boating season and daylight hours.
