Overview
Mountain Locks is located in the Merritton Ward to the south of Glendale Avenue. The park contains a staircase of stone locks from the second Welland Canal. Visitors can explore the construction of these locks and see several of the surviving industrial buildings that developed adjacent to the canal, to take advantage of the water power and transportation opportunities of the canal. There are passive areas in the park, which is situated along the Merritt Trail. This park is 11.33 hectares.
