Veteran Parking Permits
Overview
The City of St. Catharines permits all veterans who have a veterans' licence plate (Poppy Plate) to park for a maximum of three (3) hours at municipal hourly machined lots and City parking meters, free of charge.
Process
Veterans can exchange their current vehicle licence plates at their local, or nearest, Ministry of Transportation vehicle licensing office to obtain a veterans' Poppy Plate at no charge.
St. Catharines veterans who do not have a Poppy Plate, and meet the eligibility criteria, are required to complete the Veterans' Parking Permit Application free of charge. See link below to download it or you can visit your local legion or visit us at the parking counter in Financial Management Services, second floor of City Hall.
