Need to renew your monthly parking permit? There's an easier way.

You can now automatically renew monthly parking permits for City parking garages with recurring payments. A recurring  pre-authorized payment allows the City to charge your credit card a fixed dollar amount on a monthly basis to renew parking permits.

What do you mean by recurring payments?

Recurring Bill Payment is an arrangement where you can pre-authorize the City to automatically charge your credit card account on a recurring basis. You can easily set up pre-authorized credit card payments to automatically pay for your garage permit each month. The City will notify you by email when the transaction is complete.

How do recurring payments work?

You can pre-authorize the City to automatically charge your credit card on a reoccurring basis. Recurring payments continue until you withdraw your authorization.

How do I set up recurring payments?

Visit Citizens First at City Hall in person to purchase a monthly parking permit for City parking garages and ask for recurring payments. A credit card is required at this time. The City accepts VISA and MasterCard. The City will ask for your credit card information and the dollar amount that you are pre-authorizing.

Can I set up recurring payments online?

No. At this time you can only set up recurring payments in person. Visit Citizens First at City Hall.

When will my recurring payment begin?

Recurring payments will begin with the next month's renewal. If you have chosen to sign up for the recurring payment option the City has permission to charge your credit card account for the amount indicated on the last day of every month.

Any extra charges for recurring payments?

No. The City doesn't charge any additional fees to set up recurring payments.

Will I receive a receipt for my records?

Yes. The City sends email notifications after recurring payments are complete. Emails include receipts.

What if there is a billing error?

If there is a billing error call Citizens First at 905.688.5600 to resolve the issue.

Is my credit card information secure?

Yes. The City's partner for payment processing stores and protects credit card information on its own secure servers.

What happens my credit card is lost or stolen?

Report lost or stolen credit cards to your credit card company as soon as possible. When you receive a new credit card, visit Citizens First at City Hall or call 905.688.5600 to update your credit card information. Updating the City with your new credit card information will avoid interrupting your recurring payment.

Monthly parking permits at the Ontario Street Parking Garage cost $85 and range from $85-$100 at the Carlisle Street/Garden Park Parking Garage.
 

Do recurring payments cover special event parking fees?

No. A monthly parking permit grants you a parking spot at City parking garages Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and does not include special event parking.
