Pesticide Use By-law Enforcement
Overview
The use and sale of pesticides for cosmetic purposes is regulated by the Province of Ontario. Regulation 63/09 made under the Pesticides Act came into effect in 2009, replacing the municipal pesticide by-law.
Process
To report any violation of the regulation, please call the Ministry of the Environment during business hours. An officer will investigate for evidence to lay a charge.Penalty
Offenders will be prosecuted under the Provincial Offences Act.
