Friends of Malcolmson Park

Who are they?

The Friends of Malcolmson Eco-Park is a non-profit group of volunteers dedicated to preserving and enhancing this north St. Catharines green space. They have been endorsed by the City of St. Catharines as the official stewards of the Eco-Park and are led by an advisory committee that plans and implements projects in the park. The committee includes a staff representative from the City of St. Catharines.

What do the Friends of Malcolmson Park do?

The Friends of Malcolmson Eco-Park are very active throughout the year in the park. During the past 15 years, the Friends have removed tons of garbage, planted thousands of native wildflowers and trees, designed a trail network, enhanced park wetland areas and provided environmental educational opportunities to local schools. Each spring, the Friends host their flagship fundraiser, a plant sale featuring native species of trees and shrubs, aquatic plants and heirloom vegetable plants.
