Purpose
The St. Catharines Museum Advisory Committee (MAC) will provide advice and recommendations for the purpose of policy and plan development, mandate review, and will act as public advocates in support of the museum's mandate.
Vision
The St. Catharines Museum will strive to be valued as a unique and dynamic centre for sharing our heritage, preserving our past and celebrating our diverse community.
Goals
The St. Catharines Museum will achieve sustainability by increasing earned revenue while maintaining and improving its collections and exhibits, public profile, programmes and services.
The St. Catharines Museum will strengthen its existing activities and relationships and foster new partnerships.
Membership
The Committee is composed of seven members including one city councillor. Members are appointed by Council.
Voting Membership
All members of the committee vote on every issue and in the event of a tie, the motion shall be defeated; meeting quorum is four members.
Membership Responsibility
- Members shall observe all corporate policies of the City of
St. Catharines with respect to conduct, harassment and discrimination.
- Members shall make every effort to attend all meetings
- Members shall attend an annual Advisory Committee Orientation

Meeting Schedule & Location(s)
Meetings are held at the St. Catharines Museum every fourth Tuesday of the month, excluding July and August, at 6:00 pm. Additional meetings may be called as required. A minimum of six meetings per calendar year must be held.
