Pitch-In Day Spring Clean City Clean Up

Join the Clean City Clean UP

Join the Clean City Advisory Committee and other community volunteers as they pick up litter at City parks and in neighbourhoods across St. Catharines during the Pitch-In Day Spring Clean City Clean Up up this Earth Day.

Saturday, April 22
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Rain or shine

We provide the gloves and garbage bags; you provide the community spirit.

 2017 Spring Clean Up sites

Help make St. Catharines a more beautiful place by volunteering to clean up one of following designated sites:

  • QEW off ramp at Lake Street - meet at the Best Western Plus parking lot (2 North Service Rd.). Please note: Children under the age of 12 can not participate at this location.
  • Malcomson Park - Located at 325 Lakeshore Rd.
  • Pic Leeson Park - Located at Dundonald Street. Main entrance off of Bloomfield Street.
  • Participark Trail - Follows the east bank of the Twelve Mile Creek from Glendale Avenue to St. Paul Crescent. Meet at trail parking lot on Old Glendale Road (near Pelham Road and Glendale Avenue).
  • April 29 - 9a.m. to 11 a.m. - QEW off ramp at Ontario Street
    Meet at the parking lot at Ontario Street and the service road (near the Angel Restaurant). Best Western Plus parking lot (2 North Service Rd.). Please note: Children under the age of 12 can not participate at this location.

You can also volunteer to help out at these alternate sites:

  • Benfield Drive (behind Walmart plaza) - join volunteers to clean up along the fence line.
  • Vintage Park - Located at 66 Vintage Cr.
  • Old Welland Canal along Oakdale Avenue - join volunteers to clean up from the historic Knifeworks site to the north end of Moffatt Street. Meet in parking lot at corner of Eastchester Avenue and Oakdale Avenue.

Make your own clean up site

You can also help clean your own neighbourhood or favourite park. Get a group together and call 905.688.5601 ext. 1630 to register and to let us know where you'll be cleaning up so we can arrange to pick up the trash.

We can also provide supplies.
