St. Paul Street / Carlisle Street Streetscaping

Tree on St. Paul Street

Project Overview

The Downtown Streetscaping project for St. Paul Street (between James Street and Carlisle Street) and Carlisle Street (between St. Paul Street and Race Street) includes a complete road reconstruction including new sidewalks, curbs, road structure, on-street parking and road drainage, new street lighting, street furniture and landscaping. When complete it will ensure improved safety and comfortable access for all users.

Project Notice

St. Paul StreetThe St. Paul Street / Carlisle Street project has been awarded to the successful contractor, Rankin Construicton Inc.  Construction commenced during the week of May 29th, 2017 and will continue until the Fall of 2017.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to abutting properties and to minimize inconvience to businesses, residents, and pedstrians.  A construction inspector, representing the City (Colin Sinclair 905-651-4264) will be present at all times on site and can be contacted for information.

St. Paul Street (between Carlisle Street and James Street) will be closed to vehicular traffic for the majority of the project to complete the project.

Although the contractor is required to provide safe pedestrian access, care is requested when walking through the construction zone.
