The City of St. Catharines is involved with several boards and commissions to help address specific issues affecting St. Catharines residents.

St. Catharines citizens with an Airline and Business Development background are invited to apply to serve on the above-noted Commission as volunteers playing an active role in the community.
The Niagara District Airport Commission has an opening for one member. The Commission was established in compliance with the requirements of Transport Canada to work as a Joint Municipal Services Board (representatives from St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, and Niagara-on-the-Lake) to provide for and facilitate the operation of the Airport. The commission's mission is to contribute to the economic prosperity of the Niagara Region by providing air connectivity for business and leisure travelers.
The airport functions as a viable commercial entity under the direction of the commission, with its primary purpose being meeting the needs of commercial and corporate aviation within the commercial service area of the Niagara Region.
This commission meets on the third Thursday of every month or at the call of the chairperson at the Niagara District Airport.
