Niagara Symphony

A cultural treasure since 1948, the Niagara Symphony Association is a professional orchestra of 52 musicians, providing classical and contemporary orchestral music to more than 6,000 residents of the Niagara Region annually. Each season the NSA presents 12 concerts - two each of POPS! and four Masterworks - showcasing outstanding guest artists alongside the orchestra to perform works that intrigue and entertain. After an exciting two-year search, a rigorous season of concert auditions, and input from hundreds of committed symphony patrons, the 2010/2011 season will mark the debut of the Niagara Symphony's new Music Director!

The Niagara Symphony is passionate about music education, offering three programs to inspire and nurture a love of music in Niagara's future citizens. Summer Music Camp (SMC), Composer in the Classroom and The Academy at SMC give students the opportunity to explore instrumental and vocal music, and learn the fundamentals of composition. The Niagara Symphony is Orchestra-in-Residence at Brock University and a committed supporter of the new Centre for the Arts in Downtown St. Catharines.
