Members of the public who wish to speak to Standing Committees or City Council on their own behalf or on behalf of companies/organizations, are called delegations.
City Council meets regularly on every Monday in the year, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall. Please check the Schedule of Meeting Dates for any changes. The Executive Committee of Council meets every second Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Appointments To Address City Council Any person wishing an appointment to address City Council shall, at least five days prior to the date of the meeting at which they wish to appear, submit a request, in writing, to the City Clerk.
Written requests should include a contact name including address, postal code and phone number, the date of the meeting you wish to speak at, and a brief statement as to the nature of the business to be presented.
Any written materials that you would like distributed to City Council should be provided to the City Clerk no later than noon on the Thursday prior to City Council’s Monday meeting. Twenty-four (24) copies should be provided.
Appointment requests are considered and dealt with in the order in which they are received.
